URGENT MESSAGE - selene goh

Hi there,

Recently, we received very sad news
that one of our students, Priscilla
Tay Wei Ling, had been taken ill. It
struck suddenly. She was fine till the
4th day of Chinese New Year when she
started having a fever that she just
couldn’t shake off.

Ten days later, she was diagnosed with
Leukemia. Doctors have started her on
her 1st course of 8 chemotherapy
treatments. It goes without saying
that Priscilla is going through a
tough period.

Priscilla is 19 years old. One minute
ago, she was a healthy young woman,
full of zest for life and the next,
she lies weak on a hospital bed. None
of the doctors could provide a reason
for the cause or why Priscilla got it.

Nonetheless, she needs help at this
time. YOUR help.

Part of her treatment includes Blood
Platelet A+ replacements.
Unfortunately, the hospital does not
have sufficient stock of this and so,
we are urgently seeking donors who
possess Blood Platelet A+. Donors must
be 18 years and above.

If you have A+ blood type and wish to
help, please contact Ms Rohani at 6321
4568 at SGH Haematology Centre, Block
7, Level 2.

Please note that donors will need to
go 2 times. The first time is for
screening (blood test - about 15
minutes) and the second time is to
arrange for Apheresis.

Do remember to say that you are
donating to Priscilla Tay Wei Ling.

If, however, you are not able/not
suitable to donate, I would really
appreciate if you could send this
message either through email or your
blog to your network of family and
friends.

Thank you very much for your help.

This appeal is dated 5 March 2007.

Thank you.

Selene
